Environmental Manageress of Mercadona
PhD in Chemistry and Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Master in Quality and Risk Prevention, Master in Sensor Systems for Environmental Technologies and Executive MBA at EAE. Maria Sapiña joined Mercadona in 2016, after working at CSIC for 6 years. Since then she has worked in different environmental areas including those related to the value chain such as sustainable fishing, sustainable agriculture or animal welfare.
She is responsible for supplier relations. Her thematic areas of work in PESCA SOSTENIBLE include the development and management of purchasing policies for fisheries products, trends in sustainability, social responsibility or certification among others.
It participates in several working groups at European level through Eurocommerce and at national level.
