Marine crustacean. Differences with Aristeus antennatus: Third abdominal segment without posteromedian tooth; carpus of fifth leg as long as merus. Colour: nacreous white with blotches of violet-blue around abdominal joints and on cephalothorax. Maximum total length 200 mm.
