Family Trachinidae

Marine fish with regurlarly ossified. Elongated and somewhat compressed body. Big head with a very short face. Very oblique and inclined upeards mouth. The back is yellowish brown; silver gray flanks. Numerous dark spots on the head and back. It can measure up to 15 cm.
