Marine fish with cartilaginous skeleton. Elongated and very thin body. Small and flat head with long and rounded snout. Blackish buccal cavity. Without nictitating membrane. Caudal peduncle curved downwards. Grayish back with brown spots. Up to 0,9 m in length and up to 1.9 kg in weight.
