Marine fish with regularly ossified skeleton. Slim boby and narrow and pointed head. Prominent upper jaw. Normal mouth with a tiny chin. 3 dorsal fins. Color: blue-green back with reddish or violet reflections. Silver flanks with golden spots. It weighs up to 3 kg. It measures up to 70 cm.
