Striped bass

Fish with an elongated and fusiform body, featuring a large head and a terminal mouth equipped with sharp teeth. It has a single dorsal fin, with a series of spines followed by soft rays. Its pectoral fins are moderately long and pointed. It displays a distinctive pattern of dark stripes on the sides, which gives it its common name of 'striped bass'. Its colouration typically ranges from silvery to greenish-grey on the dorsal side and silver or white on the belly. In terms of size, adults usually measure between 30 and 90 centimetres in length, although they can occasionally exceed one metre in length.
