Rudderfish
Marine fish with regularly ossified skeleton. Body oblong, somewhat elongated, and slightly compressed. Lightly arched head profile. Small eyes. Long and rounded snout. Wide mouth with tiny teeth. Very variable color from one specimen to another, from the young to the adults and with the degree of freshness; in general, bluish or olivaceous grey on the back and whitish silver on the flanks and belly, often with golden shines, a golden longitudinal band on the flanks and another dark oblique above the eyes. Up to 2 m in length.
