Red Sea bream
When fresh, its body is adorned with numerous bluish dots, adding to its visual allure. Characterized by a shallow body, the body depth measures 2 or more in standard length (SL). The transverse scales number between 6.5 - 7.5. Notably, all spines of the dorsal fin are sturdy and not elongated. A striking feature is the posterior margin of the caudal fin, which is adorned with a black hue, contrasting with the white lower margin. These morphological traits contribute to the unique appearance of the Red Sea bream, reflecting its adaptation to its marine habitat.
