Family Coryphaenidae

Marine fish with regularly ossified skeleton. Compressed and elongated body. Frontal profile almost vertical, leaving the face completely truncated and the forehead curved. Oblique mouth with hooked teeth. Turquoise blue color on the dorsum and upper flanks, with yellowish tones. It can weigh up to 50 kg.
