Marine fish with regularly ossified skeleton. Compressed and elongated body, with 3 dorsal fins and 2 anal fins. Colour: dark green, olive brown, yellowish or pinkish and often has yellow or reddish reticulated lines. It measures up to 1,30 m. It can weigh up to 11 kg.
