Ocellated wedge sole

Marine fish with regularly ossified skeleton. It has an oval and elongated body. Its main difference with wedge sole (Dicologlossa cuneata) is its reddish-brown coloration, with dark transverse bands and six dark ocelli along the dorsal and anal fins on its ocular face (three on each side). Maximum length: 20 cm.
