Mediterranean locust lobster
Marine crustacean with a robust body, hard and rough, covered with numerous granulations, with the quadrangular shell. Antenas crushed, in the form of a pallet, with the front edge smooth. Five pairs of legs without pincers. The first four abdominal segments with a central crestal bulge. Color reddish brown on the back and yellowish on the abdominal region. The antennae and the legs have bluish and violet tones. The first abdominal segment presents three dark spots, surrounded in part by a yellowish halo. Up to 45 cm in length.
