Little tunny
Marine fish with regularly ossified skeleton. Body elongated, fusiform, somewhat compressed, without scales, except in the corselete. Two very close dorsal fins. Second dorsal fin followed by 8 pinnuts. Anal fin followed by 7 pínnulas. Caudal peduncle with a central keel on each side. Bright blue-gray color, darker on the back, whitish on the belly. On the back, convoluted drawings of wavy lines and black spots on the back, from the middle of the first dorsal fin to the tail; 6 to 12 black spots on the abdomen, between the pectoral fins and the pelvic fins, sometimes very scarce. Up to 1.22 m in length. Up to 16.5 kg in weight.
