Marine bivalve mollusc. An oblong shell, longer than high. Adorned by fine radial lines, which cut the transverse grooves, that are numerous, concentric and thin. Hinge with 3 teeth per valve. The color is yellowish, greenish or grey, with dark rays. It measures up to 8 cm.
