Fourspotted megrim
Marine flatfish with regularly ossified skeleton. High and oval body. The head is large, with a convex or almost straight profile. The mouth is oblique and protactile, with small conical teeth in both jaws. It has a dorsal fin with hard spokes and soft spokes. The pectoral fins are short and rounded and the pelvics long and large. Color: greenish-gray body with golden highlights and a black patch bordered with yellow in the center of the flanks. Usual size of 20-50 cm, but can reach up to 66 cm.
