Marine cephalopod mollusk with an elongated, cylindrical body, featuring a large head and prominent eyes. It has eight arms and two long tentacles. The skin is smooth and translucent, with hues of pink or red. This species reaches relatively small sizes compared to other squids, typically between 15 and 25 centimeters in length.
