Marine decapod crustacean. Carapace of hexagonal shape, smooth, wider than long, with two small teeth at the front edge and three large, sharp teeth at each side edge. Pincers large, asymmetrical. Long legs, finished in a thin, flat dactyl. Variable reddish color, from darker to orange. The carapace comes to measure 5 cm in length and 8 cm in width.
