Family Cyprinidae

Freshwater fish with regularly ossified skeleton. Slender body, with reddish fins with black edges. Longe nose, with an erect mouth with fairly straight labial borders, with a cornea layer in the lower jaw and without barbel. Color brownish, greenish or bluish. It measures up to 40 cm.
