Moridae
It features an elongated and laterally compressed body, with a relatively small head in proportion to the body and a terminal mouth equipped with sharp conical teeth. The presence of a small patch of teeth on the head of the vomer (a bone located in the lower and central part of the skull, between the upper and lower jaws) is notable. The pectoral fins are notably long, extending beyond the origin of the anal fin. Additionally, it possesses a ventral light organ, which plays a role in bioluminescence. Its colouration is uniformly brown, with dark edges on the fins. The caudal fin is rounded.
