Marine crustacean consisting of a cephalothorax, abdomen and tail. Rostrum always armed with more than 3 teeth; either postorbital or postantennal spine present on carapace; upper antennular flagellum long; endopods of second pair of pleopods (in males) with an appendix masculina, an appendix interna and a lateral projection; telson with a fixed spine on each side of tip. Colour: red. Maximum total length 190 mm.
