Nuno Dias Cosme

Nuno is a graduate in Marine Biology from the University of Algarve, Portugal.

In 2008 he moved to Copenhagen where he complemented his education with a Master in Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Sustainability Engineering, both at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he worked as a researcher and assistant professor in life cycle analysis and sustainability until 2017.

In 2017 he moved to Vigo and joined Nueva Pescanova Group as Corporate Director of Sustainability, a position he currently holds. His position means being a critical agent and driving force for the necessary changes in the business models and agendas of each area of activity in favour of more efficient processes and more sustainable products. To this end, he has designed and implemented the ‘Pescanova Blue’ Sustainability Programme as a tool for quantification and transparency in sustainability for the Nueva Pescanova Group.

He has a long track record in the quantification and analysis of the sustainability of products and processes, ecology studies and environmental impact management.
