Luiza Reguse

Senior Manager of the SSCI since 2023. Luiza has built a rich career in the organic certification landscape to focus on the impact of food production on the environment and society. After studying food science and technology at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Luiza served as a quality manager and auditor with Ecocert Group both opportunities which allowed her to develop in-depth knowledge of the rules of organic production and also in quality matters, especially the ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO/IEC 19011. In her career, Luiza has been based in Brazil, Germany and France, and has worked to implement different schemes from various countries including the, Mexico, Chile, Japan, China, and Taiwan. She has also supported Ecocert Group on the implementation of emerging sustainability standards such as GlobalG.A.P and Rainforest Alliance.  In addition, Luiza is also the co-founder of OrganicosPro, the first Brazilian database for organic inputs, based on Brazilian Law Requirements for organic agriculture, which offers an open platform aiming to democratise access to information and promote the growth of sustainable agricultural production in Brazil.
