Family Rajidae

Small cartilaginous fish. Dorsoventrally very depressed body with very large pectoral fins rounded edges that give rhomboid. Short nose and small face, with sinuous edges and large eyes in the dorsal position. Dorsal side of ocher, gray or yellowish, with light spots and black spots. It is distinguished by the presence of a dark ocellus with marbling yellow spots at the base of the pectoral fins. Maximum length 70 cm.
