
Conxemar participates in the Salón Gourmets 2025 with different activities to raise awareness of the association and promote the consumption of frozen seafood products
- The Association participates in an event that brings together more than 2,000 exhibitors and 100,000 professional visitors at IFEMA Madrid, where it presents the culinary possibilities of frozen seafood products through recipes and attractive formats.
The Spanish Association of Wholesalers, Importers, Exporters and Processors of Fishery and Aquaculture Products (CONXEMAR) is present this week at Salón Gourmets 2025, one of the most important professional trade fairs in the European food sector, which is being held until 10 April at IFEMA Madrid.
With an edition that brings together more than 2,000 exhibitors from over 90 countries and an average of 107,000 professional visitors, the Salón Gourmets has established itself as the meeting point par excellence for quality gastronomy, especially for the HORECA channel, agri-food distribution and specialised trade.
Conxemar has an active presence during the four days at the stand of the Xunta de Galicia (Hall 6, stand 6F10), from where it promotes the International Frozen Seafood Products Exhibition, its International Congress and the Association’s own activity.
Within this framework, on Tuesday 8 April at 17.45 hours, it is offering a showcooking tasting entitled ‘Frozen seafood products: twice as good’, which highlights the versatility and quality of frozen products with live preparations.
Also, on Wednesday 9 April at 16.00, Conxemar will be present at the stand of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA, Pavilion 7, stand 7A05) as part of the ‘Food from Spain’ campaign, with an institutional presentation of the Association followed by a tasting of fried fish cones, made with frozen seafood products.
This action forms part of the ‘Fill your table with sea’ initiative, which aims to take the flavour of the sea beyond the stand, touring all the pavilions of the fair.
These actions are part of the Association’s strategy to reinforce its visibility on a national level, in anticipation of the next edition of the Conxemar Fair, which will be held in Vigo in October 2025 and which broke records in its 25th edition with more than 27,000 visitors and 750 exhibitors from 46 countries, generating an economic impact of 235 million euros and 6,500 jobs in the Vigo area, according to data from the Free Trade Zone and the University of Vigo.
In this way, Conxemar’s presence at the 38th edition of the Salón Gourmets, which has more than 1,200 parallel activities, showcookings, tastings and presentations, responds to the objective of continuing to consolidate the Association’s role as a sectoral reference and disseminator of the value of frozen products to specialised audiences, opinion leaders and purchasing managers.
