Conxemar, the Spanish Association of Wholesalers, Importers, Manufacturers and Exporters of Fish products and Fish farming is consolidated as an essential instrument to join the frozen products sector in our country. The 267 companies which make up the association, support its capacity of representation and defence of the interests of its associates and sector on a nation wide basis and international. The main aim of CONXEMAR is to represent and defend interests of its associates in particular and sector in general, both in Spain and Europe, where the association takes part with its own voice as a member of the Fisheries Consultative Committee of Spain. It is also member of "C.E.P." (E.F.D-European Fish Dealers/Traders, in Bruxelles). Our principal aims are as follows: To promote and defend the system of free private enterprise within the setting of the market economy. To promote the business development, to benefit its interests in general, and collaborate for the best social welfare. The relation with similar business organizations, especially those of shipowners, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, reailers, importers and exporters of fishing products. To provide its associates information about the national, european and international market. To study laws and provisions of the autonomous, national and european authorities, which have an effect on its sector, both to communicate among the associates and to work on proposals for the corresponding organisations. To represent the sector in front of public or private institutions and organizations at a regional, national and/or european and even international levels, to defend their legitimate interests. The promotion of all kinds of improvement and guidance for consumers and their associations. Any other necessary licit activity to reach the aims of the Association at any moment.
